With his first ever solo album. Flying Horseman and Dans Dans’ Bert Dockx underlines his fearlessness once again. Under the Strand moniker, he takes the challenge of singing in his native language Dutch. Although this may sound like an obvious thing to do, only a few underground artists have ever succeeded in doing so successfully. With nothing more than an acoustic guitar, he creates pure songs, honest and unadorned. This is impressionist and poetic music in which the light battles the dark, while silence endures a raging storm. The album is due end of September.

Dockx is without a doubt one of the most extraordinary Belgian musicians and songwriters around. Both on stage and in the studio, his performances have the power to captivate his listeners completely. As the main man of the Flying Horseman sextet and as one third of the amazing instrumental trio Dans Dans, he has gathered an impressive body of work in just a few years, and he is ever as productive, as this new episode in his career demonstrates.
